Passing the Standard is a 13-lesson series about the history and the ideals of the Restoration Movement. It was created to give children in the Christian Churches / Churches of Christ / Disciples of Christ churches an understanding of the historical movement that produced their churches. Every lesson includes instructions to teach the specific details of the lesson, activities to explain or reinforce the concepts involved, and a Background section that provides the necessary historical information for the lesson. In addition, since Christian newspapers played a prominent role in the Restoration Movement, each lesson includes a Newsletter-style hand-out.
