Playtime at the Feet of Jesus

Activities to help you teach your child about Jesus.

Little children learn through play; the best way to teach them about God is to use guided playtime to teach and reinforce the truths of the Bible.

Each of the 53 chapters of Playtime at the Feet of Jesus provides a short Bible reference, a craft or activity, and a brief suggestion of how to discuss the facts or concepts of the verse with your child as you do the craft or activity together.

Using the lessons of Playtime at the Feet of Jesus gives the parent the opportunity to share her faith and love of Jesus while building a cherished memory with her child.

Nearly all materials created and distributed by Autumn Light Publications is intended for use with Kindergarten through 5^th grade children. Playtime at the Feet of Jesus is the exception. Playtime at the Feet of Jesus was originally created as a scrapbook style gift-book for a friend. It has recently been resized and spiral bound for general sale.

Jesus is the Master Teacher.  Common, everyday experiences are used to teach deep, important lessons.  He lived the life He teaches and He demonstrates His great love for all.  The Master Teacher shares His lessons with us through His Word and through the prompting of His Spirit.  If we will allow Him to do so He will use us to teach our children.  These lessons are not intended to produce great scholars—though they can guide our children to that end.  They are not intended to produce great projects that will last forever—though they will create memories that will last a lifetime and beyond.  Rather, these opportunities for instruction are offered to you in the hope that they will help you follow in the Master’s steps-teaching your children deep lessons through common everyday experiences-their playtime.

Invite Jesus to share in those precious moments of play. Teach as He did, using the common, the ordinary, the everyday, to teach the eternal lessons of life.
